Angkor Wat
Rite ,
I am not going to even bother describing this place as its so huge and giiinormusly awe inspiring that its just a waste me typing about it, beyond 70 sq miles size, 1000 years old, biggest religious building on earth and one of the 7 man made wonders of the world apparently.
In the morning we went to a temple 30 km away which was loaded with tour groups but got some good photos. To many tours.
We then went to the Jungle Temple which is really mad place where the jungle is slowly eating the temple. We stayed ages there looking, talking to local kids and chilling out around the back of it. No toruists and very cool.
We had lunch after and then got nailed by vendors insisting on you buying something. I found a girl who had some rubbings and we bought some of her.
After this we to Beyon temple which has hundreds of smiling faces staring down at you.
Finally we walked and climbed Angkor Wat with Dee climing right to the very top over some mad steep old steps. You dont wanna fall.
It was sunset by now and we went back to the guesthouse. that night we went out to and Indian that was recommonded in Lonly Planet, it was only so so. Dont belive all you read.
We were absolutly templed out and ready for bed. First we arranged tickets tp Phenom Phen the next day on the bus.
Go to Angkor Wat if you are ever out this way,Its very good.
