Varanasi 2
Today we did no hear the alarm so missed the boat, oops.
I spent all morning writing out the last 2 weeks blog as its been a bugger to get decent internet the last few weeks in the hills; )
After blog we went for a walk along the river banks, along the ghats themselves and they are a spaced out place. People have been dong the same thing here for 2000 years and you can see it. There is a vibe here I think.
The down side is its full of touts and beggars that can be in your face at times. The hotel and taxi drivers say to stay in at night as it can be dodgy.
We had no problems on our walk. After an hour or so we walked back up and had dinner at a nice restraunt. Cool sunset.
No alcohol here which is a nice change, really, so quite nights in I reckon. Going to try doing the dawn boat thing tomorrow!
