Vietscam
We woke the next morning in our shitty hotel room. We all decided to book out as we were promised better rooms that did not exsist. Everything here is a scam.
Even when we were checking out the hotel tried to short change us by 7000 Dong each which was a few bucks together. We told him to get fucked and got our change and booked in across the road in a nice simple hotel with decent staff.
Idiots, 6 of us checked out of that shithole at the same time so he looses about $60 because he blatently tries to con us. Mad.
We had a nice day crusing around Hanoi, taking photos and wandering around markets.
Dee and I were not sure what to do travel wise as our flight to India was within the next 10 days and we wanted to get to Laos. Getting from Hanoi to Laos is a pain in the ass and expensive. a 30 hr bus trip or a $250 flight for the 2 of us. we decided to book a flight on the internet with Air Aisa, like Ryan air, and me a Dee got our tickets for about $55 each to fly to bangkok with the lads the next day. From bangkok it is relativily easy to get to Laos or just go direct to India on the 6th of November. Decision, Decisions.
Derrick has lived in Bangkok for 6 years and asked us to come hang out with him for the weeked and the would show us the real bangkok, not the lonly planet version. How could we refuse??
That night the girls crashed out early and after dinner in a place which cooked dog in every imaginable way ( I had a pizza) Me and derrick went for a few drinks and smokes at the reggare bar. We went home around midnight through dark empty back streets. Dont come to Hanoi if you wanna party after midnight....
